Matt doesn’t believe in magic. Kristin doesn’t think she does. But when their new house gives them puzzles and the trees in their backyard talk, Matt and Kristin must question everything they thought they knew.

The trees speak eloquently, but, unfortunately, not in specifics. They seem to offer a warning: the children of the town are in danger.

Kristin and Matt are invited to join a network of people and trees, created to keep the town safe – but can they learn to interpret the warnings before it's too late?
